Jo Stockwell

spent most of his life around Kansas City where he attended the Kansas City Art Institute and pursued a 25 year career as art director for an advertising agency.  After he retired, he moved to Colorado Springs, CO and took up watercolor landscape painting.  Later moving to Green Valley, AZ where he currently resides.

Jo enjoys experimenting with various media, techniques and subject matter though he is best known for his realistic depictions of landscape scenes.  In the past 25 years, he has painted over 500 works.  Almost all of these reside in private collections

Stockwell has exhibited in galleries in Missouri, Colorado and Arizona and has been a member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild, the Santa Cruz Valley Art Association and the Society of Southwest Authors.
