Janet Jackson's
keen interest in painting a variety of subjects, primarily in oil, is very apparent in her work. Her travels and time spent in Mexico are vividly displayed in her paintings. Although she enjoys painting a variety of subjects, she considers herself an impressionistic landscape artist.
A native of El Paso, TX, Janet has lived in Texas and Mexico. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and studied art at Sul Ross State University, in Alpine, TX and Universidad de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico. Janet continues her art education through numerous workshops with well-known artists. She also participates in the local El Paso art scene in various events including many juried exhibits.
