The massive,

solid 2" iron stock used for our Marshall table base is unprecedented –it is simply too difficult to shape.  But we wanted the look and we convinced our blacksmiths to give it a try.  They accomplished the impossible.  The heavily hammered surfaces and oversized, solid metal stature make it a focal point for any space.  The hefty 42" round 3/4" thick glass contacts the massive iron base at only four points giving the feeling of a suspended plane.  The rich luxurious finish is hand applied in more than six layers which adds additional depth and interest to the piece.
